Partners enjoy a slice of success

BARTER-exchange business Bartercard Australia and Maries Pizza have reached a milestone with the pizzeria selling over one million pizzas on Bartercard.

Businesses using Bartercard earn trade dollars for the goods and services they sell and this value is recorded electronically in their member accounts.

They can spend the credit balance on goods or services provided by any other Bartercard member.

Businesses don’t have to purchase from the business that purchases from them.
Maries Pizza joined Bartercard more than 20 years ago and the company’s Kate Biglands says the pizza sales milestone is a testament to Bartercard.

“We have been actively trading, developing relationships with members of Bartercard to build sales and find new ways to utilise our trade dollars,” she said.

“We are able to utilise our trade dollars for a range of goods and services through our business and personal spending.”

Bartercard’s Andrew Federowsky said Maries Pizza’s tale was one of many positive stories he heard from Bartercard members.

“It’s brilliant to hear how members are using Bartercard to open up a world of opportunities and experiences,” he said.

“We work with our members to ensure they gain the most out of the barter system, whether that is to meet business or personal goals.”

Bartercard is a business-to-business trading scheme with more than 55,000 members worldwide.

Bartercard South Gold Coast has 750 members across a range of industries from beauty to hospitality and retail to construction, including Bond University and the Gold Coast Titans.

Bartercard Australia has more than 20,000 cardholders.
