Mixing work and fun on cards
The international Bartercard community will converge on the Gold Coast today for its annual conference in the city on which the company was founded.
Bartercard is the world’s largest global trade exchange. Industry identities making an appearance include senior executives from the Bartercard operations in New Zealand, India, UAE, UK, South Africa, Thailand and the US.
Each will deliver keynote speeches on the expansion of their respective markets and the trading opportunities with Australian businesses.
The conference is being held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Surfers Paradise from today until Wednesday.
Bartercard founder and south Gold Coast franchise principal Andrew Federowsky said it was great to see the company returning to its roots and remembering where it all began.
“After 24 successful years, Bartercard continues to grow and it is a testament that this year’s conference is attracting delegates from many different states, countries and territories,” he said.
“With franchise owners from all around the world coming together, this event is a great opportunity for everyone to compare notes, discuss strategy and share knowledge from our respective markets to enhance everyone’s business performance.
“It’s a time for businesses and networking but of course, we make sure everyone can find the time to enjoy the event and have a bit of fun at the same time.”
Around 80 delegates from Bartercard franchises world-wide will attend.
Bartercard has more than 54,000 members globally and trades more than $600 million worth of transactions a year through 24,000 merchants in Australia, New Zealand the UK and US.”
