Equinox role gives Bartercard a boost

Bartercard South West has been awarded for its strong market performance last year, off the back of its role in the renovation of the Equinox at the Busselton foreshore.

The south-west office received the company’s International and Australian Office of the Year award for 2015 after increasing client membership by 53 per cent and generating $5.92 million in revenue transactions.
During its $3 million refurbishment last year, Equinox used $500,000 in trade to complete the project.
The deal allowed Equinox owners Peter Gordon and Dave Ebert to pay contractors, also Bartercard members, interest-free.

Bartercard South West regional manager Darryl Toreaux said he was ‘delighted’ with the award and how the company had been embraced by the region.

Local businesses tell us they are saving on cash purchases by using Bartercard trade dollars to pay for businesses expenses and move stock by selling it through our network and tapping into our sales channels,” he said.
“It grows local commerce and creates new opportunities for business, which makes a big difference to businesses’ bottom line, particularly in this economy.”
