Liam to lead his team from the front

Liam Talbot will get a taste of onfield NRL action this season – and he is only 11.
The Coombabah boy has beaten dozens of young football fanatics to be the club’s 2015 Bartercard Ball Bike Kid.

“I’ve loved the Titans since I was 6 years old and my favourite player is David Mead,” he said.

“I can’t believe I get to be part of every home game and watch it all from the field.”

Liam will be tasked with leading the Titans out to the field every home game and interviewing players for promotional videos.

A panel of judges made up of Sea FM’s Charli Robinson, former Gold Coast Titan Luke Bailey and Bartercard’s CEO Brian Hall said Liam was picked for his charisma and passion.

“Luke (Bailey) really put the pressure on in the interview sessions and gave the kids lots of scenarios of what they would have to do,” said Ms Robinson.

“This little guy could end up on The Footy Show so we wanted someone who was really confident and not shy in front of cameras.

“He’s very cool and collected and he’s going to have lots of fun out there.”

Liam starts his new role tonight at the Titan’s game against West Tigers at Cbus Super Stadium, Robina.
