Bartercard reaches #1 spot in Vinnies CEO Sleepout

Bartercard Australia’s CEO Clive van Deventer reached the Gold Coast’s Highest Fundraiser of the Year in 2016 Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

It landed the Gold Coast-based CEO 4th spot in Australia behind Bank SA, The Australian and Crown Australian Resorts CEOs.

Clive said that Bartercard members and staff rallied together to raise the support and was thrilled to see the outcome.

“Bartercard members and staff who supported the CEO Sleepout raised over $67,000 for Vinnies which has put the Gold Coast front and centre of fundraising efforts Australia-wide,” he said.
Clive said Bartercard, which is part of ASX-listed company BPS Technology Ltd (ASX: BPS), looks forward to continuing to assist St Vincent de Paul in its fundraising efforts. Building on the success of last night’s CEO Sleepout, BPS’ sustainable role in supporting St Vincent will come through its technology platform bucqi, a new rewards app which is creating additional revenue streams for non-profits.

“It was comforting to see so many CEOs and volunteers get behind last night’s Sleepout, even though there wasn’t much sleep to be had,” Clive said.

“There was definitely a buzz at Cbus knowing we were part of such a big cause supporting the homeless and disadvantaged - I spent most of the night in the ‘insomniac corner’ talking to the other CEOs.”
