Bartercard lands #1 spot at the Gold Coast 2017 Vinnies CEO Sleepout
|Bartercard Australia’s CEO Clive van Deventer has reached the Gold Coast’s Highest Fundraiser at the 2017 Vinnies CEO Sleepout, breaking $65,000 in donations.
Clive said that over 100 Bartercard members and staff rallied together to raise the support and was thrilled to almost break last year’s $67,000 effort on the night, which has ‘put the Gold Coast front and centre of fundraising efforts’.
Fundraising is still open and donations can be made here.
Clive added it was comforting to see so many CEOs take part in last night’s Sleepout to support more than 100,000 homeless and disadvantaged Australians through essential services like food and shelter.
“With 193 leaders at the Gold Coast CEO Sleepout and so much collective experience in one space, there was definitely be a buzz,” he said.
“Topped with the fact that this event generates massive support to Australians in need, well not much sleep was had.”
Clive added that Bartercard will continue to assist St Vincent de Paul in its fundraising efforts off the back of the 2017 CEO Sleepout.
“It’s important that we support not only great events like this, but other Australian charity-led initiatives,” he said.
“Bartercard’s goal is to dramatically increase support in this space by launching a new digital raffle and community sponsorship programs that will be available to registered Australian charities, not-for-profits, schools, sporting and community clubs.
“These programs wil help raise awareness and funds for not-for-profit operators and we cannot wait to roll them out through our network of members Australia-wide.”
