Our story

Founded on the Gold Coast, Australia, by Brian Hall, Andrew Federowsky and Wayne Sharpe, with a vision to become the world’s leading trade exchange and business-to-business brand, Bartercard has built up a global presence.  In 1995 Bartercard International was created to replicate its Australian model globally. Today Bartercard counts New Zealand, UK, USA, Thailand, UAE, Cyprus, South Africa and most recently France in its global network, with new international license enquiries daily.

In May 2012 Bartercard International Group was formed merging both the Australian and International entities to make it easier for members to trade on a global platform.

On 9 September 2014, Bartercard’s parent company, BPS Technology Limited, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (BPS:ASX).

In 2016, Bartercard Australia celebrated 25 years of helping businesses to connect and grow.
